We have received advice from the Ministry of Health that the initial period where we were only permitted to provide flu immunisations to vulnerable patients has been extended.
Originally we were going to be allowed to provide flu immunisations to the general population from 13th April – this has now been extended until 27th April or until the Ministry is confident that the priority groups have been vaccinated.
Those considered most vulnerable in light of Covid-19 are those over 65, pregnant women and others with underlying chronic health conditions, as well as healthcare and other front-line workers.
That means everyone else has to wait a bit longer. We are not accepting bookings from non-eligible patients in case the date is extended again or vaccine supplies are delayed.
We are working through our lists of vulnerable patients and contacting them as we have sufficient vaccine stocks on hand.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
